Brunei 's weather is pretty much the same all year round, hot and humid. There is supposed to be a wet and dry season but unless you work offshore you'd be hard pressed to figure which one is which. The temperature gets up to a maximum of about 32 Celsius during the day and down to about 24 Celsius at night. You get quite sensitive to relatively small fluctuations in temperature and a cool day (29 Celsius) has everyone whipping out their long sleeves and trousers.
Almost everywhere is air-conditioned so relief from the heat is usually close at hand. In fact, it is wise to carry a cardigan or jacket in the car in case you have to spend some time in doors - the air-con can be pretty fierce.
The sun is much more intense than in Europe for example so the liberal use of sun block (not always easily available) is essential.
There is very little, if any, extreme weather No typhoons or hurricanes here. We have had a couple of freak wind storms and the thunder storms can be incredible but all in all nothing to write home about. We haven't had any haze to speak of for many years.
