Jerudong International School

Located 10 kms from the capital, JIS also serves many children from theTutong and Belait districts. There is a weekly boarding facility for secodary school students (there are no International secondary schools in Belait) and there are quite a number or primary students who travel up and down each day.

Kuala Belait/Seria

Panaga School (Primary)
The Panaga School in KB/Seria is a company school run by Brunei Shell for the children of Brunei Shell (and some contractors) expatriate employees. The schools has approximately 280 children from Nursery to Primary 8. There are 2 streams, Dutch and International (English medium). As there is no International Secondary school in the area older children attend JIS near BSB. It can be very difficult to get a place unless you have a clear entitlement.

Hornbill School (Primary)
Hornbill School caters for the children of British and Gurkha personnel (only) attached to the British Garrison based in Seria. Secondary aged children either board at JIS or back in the UK or Nepal or sttend one of the 'Mission' schools in Seria.

Calvert School (Pre-School)
This popular pre-school is located near the Shell Camp on the way to Kuala Belait (W3). Cavert was set up many years ago by a group of parents wanting to provide a western style kindergarten for their kids. It is still 'owned' and ostensibly run by the parents of the children who attend the school. Calvert School - Playgroup and Kindergarten caters for children aged 20 months to five years. Open from 7.45-11am five days per week. The Calvert School programme, run by long term, qualified teachers, assists children in their development of confidence and appropriate social skills in a happy, secure and stimulating environment, providing them with a sound grounding for entry into the early primary school systems. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 3332190 or calvert@bruent.bn .  Calvert welcomes all interested parents and children to come and visit us, and have a look at what we can offer.
