15-foot python behind bars

Tall grass and garbage discarded around the area is one reason why this 15-foot phython was found slithering around Menglait.

An uninvited guest is now behind bars after feasting on three chickens, RTB reported yesterday.

This giant slithering creature (photo left), measured almost 15 feet in length, was first spotted at 5pm yesterday. That was after it wound up in a coop and falsely befriending three chickens before devouring them. It took men three hours to trap the python.

Considering how long the grass is and how the garbage is discarded indiscriminately around the area, it comes as no surprise that this is the eighth time that such an incident has occurred in the same area in Menglait.
